World Cup Woes

Word on the Street is that many are unhappy about a certain bank’s move to attempt to block World Cup access from TVs. It appears the change came after the said bank was recently named in a prominent publication as having a good many of their televisions turned to the matches.

The speculation is that the article is what made The Man issue the anti-World Cup directive. We can only surmise why. Keeping up busy-as-a-bee appearances? Squelching client worries? Who knows … but what happened to the cause of furthering international camaraderie?

Nevertheless, World Cup matches were still on display on some TVs powered by their own remote controls and in executive offices. But the feeling of irritation is and was reportedly palpable…

Man they’d never get away with it in UK. World cup fever over here. Good luck to the US this afternoon, hope you get through to next round. Match against Italy was game of tournament so far.

If your bank turns off the footie, just go to a bar!
