How to Have a Dirtier Keyboard

Some of you old timers may remember the NYC, circa late 1990s, when with the aid of Kozmo and Urbanfetch, you could stay holed up in your apartment, successfully avoiding human contact for days (except for the delivery guy of course.)

Seems like those blissful days are back again. Companies like Mobo are trying to make it easier to get food, fast, from your favorite places like Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Quiznos, Ben & Jerrys (anybody notice a trend here?)

The concept is you order & pay for your food via a text. The WSJ reports that there are similar services for non NYC areas (MyTango in Silicon Valley).
Here are all of the food ordering-related sites in NYC that we’re aware of:
Delivery.com
SeamlessWeb

MenuPages’ list of restaurants with delivery
Menutopia — again, menus

Speaking of SeamlessWeb, the NYT recently had an interesting article about the ordering habits of i-bankers vs. lawyers, two of the company’s target audiences: “According to data from SeamlessWeb, investment bankers tend to order more meat and steak, while lawyers more frequently eat sushi.”

Any thoughts about why that is?
