The End of Bottle Service?
By BankersBall on Oct 16, 2006 in Clublife, Lifestyle, NYC
Speaking of bottle service at Cain, one NYC councilwoman is attempting to outlaw the marking up of bottles at clubs, based on the idea that it “drastically increases patrons’ incentive to drink intemperately and promotes dangerous levels of drunkenness.”
True, true. But don’t fret, it sounds it’s too big a chunk of club owners’ profits (a bottle of Grey Goose is marked up 1,000% @ Pink Elephant) for them to go down without a fight. Says the owner of Lotus: “I’ll just charge $500 for a table, and they can order whatever they want. It’s not going to affect my bottom line.”
Now that’s what I call a businessman.

This would make such a huge difference in how NYC nightlife would be - as the guy below would say, “Only models, no bottles”
