Ties Get More Expensive, Paisley?

The WSJ sums up trends in tie wear:
- Paisley is back.
- Makers like Ferragamo and Pink are introducing five and seven-fold ties — that is, ties that have been folded that many ties from one piece of fabric — at higher prices ($180 and $165 respectively). You should also be seeing nicer boxes for those prices, too.
- “Suiting ties” — ties made out of fabrics similar to your suit (wool, cashmere) are in. Personally I think these look very snazzy.

Seven Folds from CT can be found under $80 on sale. I’m suprised Hermes was not mentioned.
I also believe Pink gets too much credit as it has deviated from its Jermyn St roots - CT is following their move with their Chinese dress shirts.
The last look from the 80’s that must go is the contrasting cuffs/collar look - it just looks cheap and dated - check out Udeshi for a different cutaway.
