The Telegraph reports about hedge fund RAB Capital’s no-expenses spared bash, which was at the London Aquarium. Revelers continued on to the Mayfair Club. One attendee told the Telegraph “We all felt at home among the sharks and stingrays.” Buh dum dum chh!
Otherwise, not much coverage of NY holiday parties for finance firms. But as for what your girlfriend (or boyfriend) is up to — NYMag has been covering the media-related holiday parties. Here’s a recap of their recap:
New Yorker: @ Lure Fishbar; Malcolm Gladwell; “more-than-liberal flow of alcohol (or perhaps by the two separate oyster and sushi bars)”
Allure: @ Double Seven, “80 percent women, 18 percent gays, and 2 percent me” — according to one guest.
Hearst: Skipped usual venue Tavern on the Green in favor of their “three-story lobby waterfall was glowing with festive red lights as we entered, with D.J.-provided music thumping”
Vogue: @ the Grand, no dancing, “The only way to describe it is very elegant and sober,” one guest told NYMag.
