- CVC Partners, a UK private equity firm, is on the hunt for partner level hires to expand in NYC. The firm is working with headhunters CPI, reports the Times Online. Anonymous sources tell the Times that BC Partners is also considering a move stateside.
- Providence Equity Partners has plans to open Hong Kong and New Delhi offices, via Alphaville.
- Two ex-Citi execs have raised $1BN for a new PE firm called Brysam Global Partners. The firm will invest in RIC & Mexico, via WSJ.
- UBS in China: UBS has been granted licenses to operate as the first full-service brokerage in China, reports the WSJ.
- Trubba town: Anonymous sources tell the NYT that HSBC, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Kleinwort have been subpoenaed in connection with underwriting IPOs of offshore gambling sites.
