The distinctive green bus line brings you not only to the Hamptons, but to the North Fork as well (not to mention Foxwoods).
Tickets are about $30 one-way or $51 round trip, though regular riders probably want to buy a value pack of some sort (the South Fork value pack of 12 one-ways ends up being about $21 one-way or $42 RT).
They pick up from many locations in Manhattan, including:
- 40th & 3rd
- 59th & Lex
- 69th & Lex
- 86th between Lex & 3rd
The two South Fork links — the Westhampton line and the Montauk line — serve most of the towns along the way. Buses return all along 3rd Avenue in Manhattan; select buses drop off on the West side (look for the “W” in the schedule). It also appears that they’ll be dropping off to downtown locations in the near future.
Reservations NEED to be made in advance during the season.
