Chances are you won’t need to know the Shelter Island Ferry schedule unless you’re renting a) renting a car, b) going to Sunset Beach or c) trying to feel like you’re going somewhere off the beaten path (but not really).

Nevertheless, the reliable North and South ferries will shuttle you across a narrow band of water in about 10 minutes. Beware of the lines in the summer, however. And beware of the ticks.
