US Helicopter, which offers $150 one-ways out of the 34th St and downtown Heliports to JFK and EWR, begun offering service to East Hampton Airport in the summer of 2007.
The 35-minute flights cost $799 one-way and departed at 2 & 7:30p on Fridays with returns on Sunday evening and Monday morning. The service lasted from late June to late September.
The NYSun reported that when the service started, the 8-seat choppers were booked solid and the folks at US Helicopter were adding more flights. Assume they’ll be back for the ‘08 season, but I’d check first … and start booking early.
