Part of midtown goes free wifi. If you happen to find yourself between 6th Ave and 8th Ave, above 42nd street and below Central Park South, you’ve unwittingly entered part of “CBS Mobile Zone,” via CenterNetworks. (Bryant Park has free wifi already, incidentally).

As a CBS Zonee, you’ll be able to access free wifi as part of a 6-mo pilot program. In exchange, you’ll find yourself on the CBS Mobile Zone HP when you log on. The signal is being supported by CBS billboards and certain subway stations.
