Credit Suisse Adds I-Bankers in India

Total banking operations staff in India is expected to double.

Credit Suisse, which currently employs 140 across i-banking, wealth management or private banking and asset management in India, plans to double that number in 12 months, reports the FT. Back office outsourcing is expected to increase as well, according to the FT. Currently the back office staff numbers 1,300 strong.

Indian-based investment bankers are expected to increase from 11 to 22 to 25. Credit Suisse is expected to increase its 50 private bankers to 100.

CS also reported in a press release that it has added three senior investment banking hires to its Mumbai-based team, including Sughosh Moharikar, Samita Shah, joining as MDs and Ashim Ahuja joining as a Director.
