Chances are, if you go to one of the top business schools, then you know about London Banking Days. But just in case: those of you at Chicago, Columbia, HBS, Kellogg, Wharton, Stern or Sloan who want to work in Europe at a investment bank are eligible for special 2-day recruiting program.

29 days until the test. Am I worried? Hell NO! The fact that the exam day is approaching faster than frat boys to a kegger is just the incentive I need to get off my lazy ass and focus on studying. Because I am an ex-frat boy and I know how to go after what I want, like endless plastic cups of foamy urine-quality beer.
The way I look at it, studying for an exam like this is very similar to running a marathon. I’ve been idling at the start for about 4 months now…lets just call that warming up. Now the race begins. Late nights studying, loss of vision, endless practice tests, broken relationships (if I had a relationship), “must know” lists and gallons of coffee. It’s going to take endurance, stamina and will power to avoid hitting “the wall”. WHAT WALL?!?! HOO-AH! More

As if June 3rd wasn’t already burned into my mind, the CFA Institute actually emailed candidates this week to notify us that Examination tickets are now available online. Get em while they’re hot. An excerpt from the email:
“EXAMINATION TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE
Examination admission tickets for the June 2006 CFA examination are now available online. CFA Institute does not distribute paper admission tickets. It is your responsibility to print a copy of your admission ticket on clean, unused paper and bring it with you to the test center on exam day. If you do not have internet access, please contact Information Central to obtain your ticket by facsimile. You will not be admitted to the testing room without an admission ticket.”
I love to think that my competition may a) not have internet access and b) need to be told to print their tickets on clean, unused paper. More

With one of the most dreaded days in the life of CFA students fast approaching (June 3rd is test day), I will be keeping a journal to document the 43 days until the test.
Here’s a little bit of background on me before we get started — I work on the buy-side. I passed level I on my first attempt, took a year off before taking level II. I postponed taking Level II for additional year when I heard the test format was being changed to 100% multiple-choice; then passed. Am currently studying for Level III. More
