Wall Street Volunteers is holding a summer benefit at PM Lounge Runway Lounge (venue change). Tickets are $85 but open bar and hors d’oeuvres are included. And it’s for a good cause.
The first three correct respondents to correctly answer the following two trivia questions will get a free pair (that’s two!) of tickets to the event. Please send your answers to editor at bankersball dot com, and provide a name as well as preferred email address. Thanks for the response. We’ve reached our three winners-
Trivia Question 1: what’s the meaning behind the Metro North ticket punches?
On a basic level, to indicate that a ticket has been used. But each conductor has his own unique punch pattern, which allows for a couple of things, including that if a passenger claims that his ticket was already punched, a conductor can check by seeing if the punch pattern is actually someone who is on duty.
Trivia Question 2: where did the first Jews settle in the Americas?
Our question was badly phrased, so we accepted both the arrival of the first Jews (on board with Columbus), although the first real community was Recife, in Brazil.
Where: PM Lounge Runway Lounge (venue change)
When: Thursday, June 7th from 8pm - 11pm
