Tis been a while since our last tips and tricks post on Blackberries. And yes, we recognize that there is such a thing as an iPhone and even a Google phone. But we continue to use old faithful for work, at least.

So, on with the shortcuts.

Geek codes

Type “LD” anywhere (then space, or enter) — shows local date!
Type “LT” anywhere (then space, or enter) — shows local time!
Type “myver” anywhere (then space, or enter) — shows your version / edition
Type “mypin” anywhere (then space, or enter) — shows your pin.

These are mostly useless, though I do think the date one comes in handy when you are in the process of writing an email and just need to know the date (and don’t want to exit out to check it elsewhere on the BB).
