Scores Lives On

Get some action while you still can.

We hear that while Scores is closed, the club continues to live on. Warehouse Wines & Spirits is carrying bottles of Scores’ private label blanc de blancs for just $7.99 a bottle. NYMag reports that the brew used to go for $250 a bottle (that is one huge markup) at Scores and that it’s actually not bad.

At $7.99, we’re thinking there’s a number of things one could do with a few of these Scores bottles. Such as…

Use them as deal toys. You can no longer take people to Scores, but you can remind them of the good times.

Be a hero for a day. Everyone at the office feeling a bit down lately? Here’s a suggestion. Head down to Warehouse wines, snag a few bottles, return to the office. Turn down your lights, turn up some tunes, and convince some of the girl analysts in your group to do a little jig.

Social experimentation. Whenever you have guests, feign that you have nothing else on hand (no red wine, nothing) and just serve bottle after bottle of Scores’ private label. Wait for a reaction. Also try this with your girlfriend or wife.

We can etch a nice Scores “tombstone” into the wine bottle for you.
